Application review by Quality & Development Forum - Stage 4

Applications are acknowledged by email normally within 24 hours.  The application is presented at the monthly Quality & Development Forum, where one of the following recommendations will be made:

• Progression to visit stage

If your application is progressed to visit stage, you will be asked to prepare an evidence portfolio in support of your self-assessment and this must be made available to learndirect scotland when they carry out your branding visit. 

The branding visit is carried out by a member of the Quality and Development Forum and the local development officer.  The visit takes approximately 1.5 to 2 hours as it is an opportunity for us to meet the staff at the learning centre, see the facilities available to learners, talk through your application and discuss the evidence that you have available in support of your application.

• Further information requested

 If your application is incomplete, it will be returned with guidance on areas that require further attention.

• Rejection, with guidance

  If your application is rejected, you will be given guidance on the decision, with the opportunity to appeal.
