Arbroath-based Angus Training Group Ltd has been named Training Provider of the year at an awards ceremony celebrating Scotland’s Modern Apprenticeship Awards.
Representatives from the learndirect scotland branded learning centre were presented with the award at the event at the Sheraton Grand Hotel in Edinburgh.
Jim Thomson, managing director of Angus Training Group Ltd accepted the award on behalf of the firm, which provides engineering and mechanical training for more than 40 firms across Scotland.
The Scottish Modern Apprenticeship Awards 2005 are a celebration of the high standards being achieved by the many apprentices, training providers, colleges and employers involved in Modern Apprenticeships.
With a total of ten categories, the Scottish Modern Apprenticeship Awards are held by Scottish Enterprise to recognise apprentice achievement, partnership, employers and employees.
Allan Wilson, deputy minister for enterprise and lifelong learning, congratulated Angus Training Group Ltd on the company’s initiative, enterprise and outstanding commitment.
