Learning centre staff find out about m-learning
Staff from learndirect scotland branded learning centres attended a workshop recently to find out more about m-learning (mobile learning) technology.
This mobile technology includes phones and other mobile devices including personal digital assistants (PDAs).
The workshop, held by tutors from Cambridge Training at learndirect scotland's Glasgow office, was part of a pilot project which aims to look at engaging learners, especially those who are experiencing difficulties in accessing learning.
George Junor, learndirect scotland's learning centre development manager, said: “learndirect scotland is committed to empowering people to get back into learning, to develop their talents and get them on the right track to fulfil their personal and professional objectives.
“For some learners who are geographically isolated, or for those who lack confidence, it is hoped that this development of mobile will help to overcome these barriers.”
