A charity that helps people become better parents has been welcomed into learndirect scotland’s national network of learning centres.
Parent Network Scotland, based in Edinburgh, runs courses throughout the country for people from all walks of life. The good parenting courses help families facing issues such as bullying, drug problems and anti-social behaviour.
learndirect scotland manager, Denise Horn, presented a commemorative plaque to Parent Network Scotland board member Robin Waterston. They are pictured with members of both organisations at Parent Network Scotland’s Leith headquarters.
Parent Network Scotland office manager Alison Thomson said: “Our learners are a diverse group. Basically it can be anyone who is looking for help with raising children. Our main offices are in Edinburgh but we have facilitators who train all over the country.
“We run courses in various venues, including village halls and community centres. That helps us to meet the learndirect scotland Pledge to Learners, which seeks to ensure people can access learning at a time, place, pace and style that suit them. We are delighted to be part of the learndirect scotland branded learning centre network.”
