learndirect scotland staff have just taken part in the annual Speyside Challenge to raise money for The Prince and Princess of Wales Hospice.
A team of 12 learndirect scotland staff, plus friend, walked 50 miles along one of Scotland's best loved long distance walking routes, The Speyside Way, within a 24 hour period - all to raise much needed funds for the charity.
The Speyside Way follows a route along the River Spey from the famous Highland resort of Aviemore on the edge of the Cairngorm mountains through forests, past whisky distilleries and along old railway tracks to the Moray Firth coast.
The Speyside 24hr Challenge provides a personal challenge, while being both physically and mentally rewarding, improving fitness and raising funds for The Prince and Princess of Wales Hospice.
A big congratulations to all those who put a great deal of time and effort into this event:
Paul Arbuckle, Stuart Anderson, Lesley Baird, Ruth Bebbington, Russell Fair, Katy Gollan, Dave Hall, Rebecca Holland, Denise Horn, Darren Johnstone, Gill Petrie, Sandy Smith and Lynn Speirs. They were supported by Raine Davidson, who provided much-needed chocolate and doughnuts along the way!
