Andrew Livingstone, who has been with learndirect scotland for three years, has been appointed finance director and company secretary.
Prior to joining learndirect scotland as financial controller in 2002, Andrew worked for 17 years in a range of senior financial and management accountancy roles in the private sector .
He is a Chartered Management Accountant and holds a Masters degree in History.
Frank Pignatelli, chief executive of learndirect scotland said: "I am delighted at Andrew's appointment. In his new and extended role he will be able to build on his already outstanding contribution to the company, bringing his formidable skills and wide experience to bear on all of the company's activities."
learndirect scotland was set up five years ago by the Scottish Executive to enhance the employability of individuals and the competitiveness of companies.
