Hands on Hygiene
Dundee College and learndirect scotland are working in partnership to market and distribute an award-winning flexible-learning pack for food workers.
Aimed at food handlers with supervisory responsibility, Hands on Hygiene is a level two qualification with self-assessments and tutor assignments, followed by a two-hour Royal Environmental Health Institute of Scotland (REHIS) exam for certification.
The first course of its kind to be recognised by REHIS, it was conceived in response to the Food Safety Act 1990 and is in high demand with a world-wide reputation.
The course fulfills legislative requirements and increases skills in food hygiene, and its flexible delivery makes it highly cost-effective. It can be taken in the workplace and is used as underpinning knowledge for SVQ and SQA units in Safe Hygiene Practices.
Dundee College is the only centre in the UK to produce a REHIS flexible food hygiene course.
